Do I need to physically fit to do Revive Yoga?

No. It is a common misconception that yoga is only for the fit and able. Even a person with severe physical restrictions can do, and will benefit from Revive Yoga, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Does Revive Yoga help chronic health challenges?

The Revive Yoga personal practice is modified to encompass all issues related to client health challenges such as diabetes, back pain, heart issues, anxiety, asthma, scoliosis, fatigue, stress, low immunity and concentration. The health challenges would have to be worked out – to the moment, the client, the age, and the situation appropriately.

What to expect?

During a private consultation, our yoga therapist will observe and assess your body movements and posture in order to design an appropriate practice. A practice might include some or all of the tools of yoga including movement, breath, mudras, bandhas, visualization and deep relaxation. In time, this practice will change with your life style and progress with yoga.

How many sessions?

Once you have a personal practice, you can schedule further training sessions to meet with your therapist from time to time, to check that you are practicing correctly and/or to update it in accordance with changes as they take place. The number of sessions, you will have will depend on your own situation and needs. Generally a set of at least 3 sessions recommended to completed in the first month of enrollment. Then you can reduce the frequently as your practice progresses.

How often I should practice?

To be assured of gaining the benefits of Revive Yoga, a commitment to daily practice is recommended. One of the benefits of yoga therapy, and of having a personal practice, is that it enables a person to choose to take responsibility for his or her own health. However, to experience the profound benefits of a Revive Yoga practice, it should be practiced regularly.
